What We Do
The City Secretary's Office provides administrative support to the Mayor and City Council and prepares agendas, official minutes, and meeting packets as well as posts agendas in accordance with State regulations. The office serves as the custodian of all municipal records by ensuring access to City records and guiding staff on records management. We oversee municipal elections by promoting voter registration, being cognizant of election law, and coordinating joint elections with Tarrant County and Denton County Elections Administrations and Carroll Independent School District. The City Secretary's Office promotes an active citizenry by conducting annual appointments of boards and commissions, answering citizens' inquiries, providing efficient and timely responses to open records requests, and guiding citizens' through the legislative process.

The mission of the City Secretary's Office is to support, facilitate and strengthen the City of Southlake governmental process by:
